Ammann India has marked a significant step in its operational expansion with the rollout of its first ABG 5420 Tracked Paver (Tier 3) from its Ditasan manufacturing facility in Gujarat. This event signifies the full integration of the ABG Paver business into Ammann India’s operations and aligns with the Indian government’s ‘Make in India for the World’ initiative.
The launch ceremony was attended by Mr. Bernd Holz, Executive Vice President, ABG General Management, and Mr. Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director, Ammann India, alongside other senior executives. The Indian construction sector is experiencing growth, supported by government-led infrastructure projects.
The new facility aims to address the rising demand for road construction machinery that is technologically advanced, fuel-efficient, and compliant with emission standards. The ABG 5420 paver, which meets Tier 3 emission standards, is designed to meet the requirements of Indian contractors looking for reliable and sustainable equipment.
Beyond the domestic market, the ABG 5420 Paver is also engineered for international markets, particularly in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, serving as a strategic export base for Tier 3-compliant pavers at competitive prices. The company anticipates producing more pavers for both domestic and international clients in the near future.
In conjunction with the paver launch, Ammann India also inaugurated a dedicated ABG warehouse at the Ditasan site. The warehouse spans over 10,000 square feet, with an additional 2,000+ square feet for material staging. It features advanced material handling systems, capable of supporting up to 1,200 kg per shelf, and an 8-level stacking system for nearly 1,800 SKUs. This new facility is expected to enhance the company’s production capabilities and improve aftermarket parts support for ABG products, ensuring quicker parts availability and reduced delivery times.
