Xtelify, the digital arm of Bharti Airtel, has introduced "Airtel Cloud," a sovereign, telco-grade cloud platform, alongside an AI-powered software platform designed for telecommunication companies worldwide. This development marks Xtelify’s expansion of its digital capabilities to support businesses in India and global telcos in their digital transformation journeys.

Airtel Cloud, initially developed to manage a high volume of transactions for Airtel’s internal operations in India, is now available to other businesses. The platform is hosted on sustainable data centers, features Gen-AI based provisioning, and is managed by a team of 300 certified cloud experts. It offers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and advanced connectivity, aiming to provide secure migration, scalable solutions, and cost optimization.

In parallel, Xtelify’s new AI-powered software platform is designed to address complexities within the telecom value chain. This platform includes a converged data engine for AI-driven insights, a Workforce platform for real-time task streamlining, and an experience platform to manage customer journeys.

Xtelify has already forged three key partnerships for its new software platform:

  • With Singtel: Xtelify will deploy ‘Xtelify Work,’ an enterprise-grade platform, to enhance the productivity of Singtel’s field teams in Singapore through AI-powered capabilities like fleet optimization and automated task management.
  • With Globe Telecom: ‘Xtelify Serve,’ an AI-powered customer services platform, will be implemented in the Philippines to elevate customer experience through omni-channel service assurance and streamlined business processes.
  • With Airtel Africa: Xtelify will provide its software platforms, including Data Engine, Work, and IQ, to empower Airtel Africa’s field team across 14 countries with market insights and features like spam and fraud protection. Xtelify IQ aims to enable secure, real-time, omnichannel customer engagement.

Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and MD of Bharti Airtel, commented on the significance of these launches, stating, “It is a very pivotal moment in our history as we take our world class, home grown platforms of Airtel Cloud and software solutions to businesses in India and telcos all over the world. We are privileged to have signed on partnerships with three top tier companies already – Singtel, Globe Telecom and Airtel Africa.” He also highlighted the internal development of these technologies, noting, “Within Airtel, we have been actively harnessing digital innovations at unmatched scale to transform our services and enhance customer experience at Airtel for many years now.”

Ng Tian Chong, CEO of Singtel Singapore, emphasized the benefits for their field engineers, stating, “This platform enables us to reimagine our workflows with AI at the core, improving both efficiency and customer service. By optimising dispatch and resource management, our engineers can reach customers more quickly, resolve issues with greater accuracy and reduce our overall carbon footprint.”

Carl Cruz, President and CEO of Globe Telecom, underscored their commitment to customer experience. “This partnership with Airtel and Xtelify is a bold step forward in that aspiration, empowering us to serve our customers with greater empathy, intelligence, and speed. By integrating Xtelify’s AI-powered Case Management Platform into our operations, we bring to life our commitment to best-in-class service across every journey, from the first touchpoint to final resolution.”

Jacques Barkhuizen, Group Chief Information Officer at Airtel Africa, added, “We are excited to have Xtelify as a core technology partner, enabling us to deliver meaningful digital advancements and enriching the lives of millions across Africa.”
