Krutrim, the Indian sovereign cloud platform, has announced a partnership with Cloudera to integrate the latter’s data and AI platform into its services. The collaboration aims to strengthen data engineering, AI training, and inference capabilities for Krutrim’s enterprise clients. The first company to utilize this new solution is Ola, which will use the Cloudera-based platform for large-scale analytics and data lake workloads on the Krutrim Cloud. The service is expected to be rolled out to other enterprise customers on Krutrim soon.
Krutrim is building a vertically integrated cloud infrastructure, providing compute, storage, data management, and AI-powered applications tailored for the Indian market. The company’s AI stack includes foundational models for text, voice, and video, designed to handle India’s diverse languages and cultures.
This partnership with Cloudera is expected to enable Krutrim to process large datasets in real-time, providing quicker and more accurate insights for its customers. Cloudera’s platform brings scalability and security, which Krutrim will leverage to deliver AI-powered data lake solutions to businesses, startups, and researchers across the country.
Navendu Agarwal, Senior Vice President and Head of Business at Krutrim, stated, "We are focused on building India’s cloud with deep integrated capabilities across infrastructure, data, and AI to better serve the unique needs of the Indian market. With Cloudera on Krutrim, it will give our clients the scalability and performance to advance data lake use cases with confidence and empower businesses to create and package cost effective solutions on India’s own sovereign cloud.”
Mayank Baid, Regional Vice President, India & South Asia at Cloudera, highlighted the alignment between the two companies’ visions. "Krutrim’s vision to create a robust AI infrastructure for India aligns perfectly with Cloudera’s mission to enable trusted enterprise AI through data,” he said. "With Ola Group already running mission-critical workloads on this stack… we’re excited about co-developing and implementing the solution framework that brings to the broader enterprise adoption in India."
This partnership underscores Cloudera’s focus on the Indian market and Krutrim’s commitment to creating an enterprise-grade, India-first cloud that can meet the high demands of modern businesses.
